Deloitte today announced an alliance with Blue Prism to bring robotic process automation (RPA) solutions to its clients. The two organizations have been working together to implement RPA and intelligent automation technologies for clients across a wide array of industries and sectors, including financial services, retail, life sciences and energy. This announcement formalizes that relationship.

Blue Prism invented the term “robotic process automation” and has been a leading global RPA vendor for over 16 years. The Blue Prism software enables organizations to automate manual, rules-based, mission critical processes, thereby helping to reduce costs and improve accuracy through the creation of a new “digital workforce.” Deloitte has used Blue Prism technology to address a variety of client business issues and opportunities, as well as for internal applications — building and deploying automations to confirm they are configured within an organization’s governing information technology framework.

“Organizations around the world are looking to accelerate high-volume, highly repeatable tasks,” said Scott Sopher, principal at Deloitte Consulting LLP and leader of Deloitte’s Robotics & Cognitive automation practice. Together, Deloitte and Blue Prism automate these tasks for our clients, helping to optimize their operations and provide support as they transition to a digital workforce.”

Deloitte has a national and global network of practitioners skilled in robotics and automation, trained to help clients improve their operations and navigate their cognitive journeys.

“The demand for RPA expertise and skills will only continue to skyrocket as enterprises start to unlock the full potential of automation,” said Amardeep Modi, practice director at Everest Group. “The market leaders continue to build a robust partner ecosystem for global distribution; implementation and support services; collaborative technology; and sharing best practices. Such an ecosystem play is becoming a key to effectively delivering a holistic automation solution for enterprises. This alliance between Deloitte and Blue Prism is one such example.”

“We share a common vision with Deloitte for helping customers drive innovation by automating mission critical work processes that can also be easily integrated with best-in-breed AI-enabled technologies and services,” said Ron Raczkowski, senior vice president of alliances and channels, Americas, for Blue Prism. “This alliance enables Deloitte to deliver new and unprecedented efficiencies to their clients without having them overhaul underlying IT systems. We’re delivering a digital workforce that not only augments, supports and assists human colleagues, but one that provides operational agility — making it a true competitive differentiator.”

Blue Prism complements the workplace with an elastic, multifaceted and multitalented digital workforce, helping organizations automate and scale business processes via AI, machine learning, intelligent automation and sentiment analysis. This digital workforce eliminates vendor lock-in by providing access to the best of breed AI technologies and Intelligent Automation skills through the Blue Prism Technology Alliance Program (TAP) that transforms how organizations can leverage technology to deliver true operational agility.
