HealthMetrics Collaborates with InfinitiLab to Introduce Stamp & Go, a Free Contactless Web-Based Solution to Track and Trace Movements

With the recent extension of the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) announced by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, business restrictions are being lifted gradually in an effort to jumpstart the country’s economy. HealthMetrics in collaboration with InfinitiLab, has introduced Stamp & Go, a contactless web-based solution which enables businesses to record the information of each person entering their premises to effectively track and trace movements to help businesses adhere to the current safety guidelines from the National Security Council, in the event of a new COVID-19 transmission.

“We are glad that businesses are able to reopen again but at the same time, it is vital for Malaysians to remain vigilant, continue practicing safe social distancing habits and maintain robust health and sanitization practices. With the launch of Stamp & Go, we aim to support businesses, especially those in the F&B and service industries, in maintaining strict safety standards. As business owners and customers navigate the new guidelines put in place by the National Security Council, Stamp & Go will be useful in streamlining contact tracing through contactless methods,” says Alvin Yuan, Chief Executive Officer of HealthMetrics.

To implement Stamp & Go, companies simply have to create their account and a QR code will be generated instantly. Stamp & Go users can utilise any available QR Code scanner on their smartphones, such as QR Scanner or WeChat, to scan the QR code displayed by businesses at their premises compared to traditional online solutions which require app downloads for the end users.

“We are very proud to have partnered with HealthMetrics to launch Stamp & Go in support of all Malaysian businesses which have resumed operations. As we aim to continue putting contactless practices in place, we feel that this extends to obeying the guidelines of the conditional movement control order to continue curbing the spread of Covid-19. Refraining from the pen and paper method not only streamlines the entire registration process of contact tracing but will also ensure that all practices remain contactless as we navigate our way towards a revitalized economy,” adds Advent Phang, Managing Director of InfinitiLab.

While the government’s requirement for businesses to record customers’ information is both practical & necessary for COVID-19 contact tracing, there are also valid concerns by consumers regarding the misuse or mishandling of personal information by businesses. Stamp & Go ensures privacy protection by masking all personal data in order to address this. Businesses will only be able to access recorded timestamps to ensure that each person who enters their individual premises are registered and all data will only be stored up to 60 days from the day of their visit. However, as part of the CMCO guidelines, the personal information will only be shared with health authorities should they require it to contact and trace potential COVID-19 cases.

HealthMetrics and InfinitiLab both hope that with this initiative, businesses will be able to get back on their feet faster and in a safer, more systematic way as Malaysians work together to rebuild the country’s economy.
