August 20, 2019 News

The 6th annual AI and Big Data Week (AIDW) by Malaysian Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) is a week-long annual event that aims to position Malaysia as the regional digital hub for AI and Data. The goal of the AIDW is to help accelerate the integration and adoption of AI and Data among the participants.

Speaking at a briefing session, Dr.Karl Ng, Director of Data Economy, MDEC said the theme for this year’s event is “Where AI meets Data” and is the anchor event with some 1500 participants expected.

The main objectives this year include creating general awareness of AI, whereby MDEC hopes the event will be able to introduce AI to corporates and highlight potential opportunities to be gained. At the same time, MDEC also hopes to create a larger Data Science talent pool and reassure the industry that Data Scientist supply is being addressed holistically.

The event also aims to highlight successful use cases on how organisations have successfully adopted AI and Big Data Analytics on various solutions.

AIDW will be highlighted in the upcoming Next Big Tech Asia 2019. The two-day conference and exhibition in conjunction with AIDW gather experts from various industries to brief and share their successful journeys in the area of AI and Big Data Analytics.

The AI & Big Data week from the 9th to 15th September 2019, is expected to bring together attendees over the week-long events from various backgrounds such as C-Levels executives, Generals, Director, Presidents, Heads of departments and many more.
