January 8, 2019 News

Complaint-handling smartphone app Qlue is one of 11 start-ups chosen for the third round of the Ecosystem Accelerator Innovation Fund program by GSM Association (GSMA), a worldwide association of telecommunication operators.

Based in South Jakarta, Qlue is the only start-up from Indonesia that was selected for that round.

Qlue CEO Rama Raditya said his team was proud to be part of the program.

“We believe that sharing our vision and collaborating with other parties will contribute more social effects to Indonesia, just like what we’ve done so far,” Rama said in an official statement.

The Ecosystem Accelerator Innovation Fund aims to connect operators and start-ups to widen the reach of innovative mobile cellular services. It is supported by the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development, the Australian government and GSMA as well as its members.

According to e27.co, the program provides its selected participants with funding, technical assistance and links to mobile operators in their markets.

With 600,000 users across Indonesia, Qlue is committed to establishing a smart nation.

“We’ll use the fund to implement a complete smart city solution that involves technologies [such as] mobile phones, Artificial Intelligence [AI], Internet of Things [IoT] and technical assistance in using a smart city platform that is connected to the Qlue app,” Rama said. (wir/mut)
