Robotex With Its Exciting Showcases Hit The Ground Running


31st of July 2019 shall be marked as the opening of Malaysia’s first and the most thrilling robotics and automation trade exhibition, the Malaysia International Robotics & Automation Exhibition and Conference, which is widely known as Robotex. The inaugural edition of Robotex is organized by One Robotex Sdn Bhd and co-organized by Malaysia Automotive, Robotics & IoT Institute (MARii). It has received a wide recognition from government organizations, which are Ministry of International Trade & Industry (MITI), and Ministry of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment & Climate Change (MESTECC), as well as the 18 supporting organizations ranging from government agencies to private sectors, from local to international organizations, to support and connect the industry-related stakeholders.

This year, it is expected to attract 5,000 trade visitors to be at this spectacular event. The dynamic of the Robotex 2019 is designed for the market players and industry stakeholders, government agents, and everyone who is ready to take the next big leap in robotics and automation section to explore greater business opportunities and latest technology in both local and international market.

The said exhibition shall cover a gross area of 5,772 sq.m, made up by 200 booths led by 118 exhibitors from Malaysia, Korea, Singapore to provide a comprehensive product or technology showcase ranging from Industrial Robot & Cobot Robotics, Internet-of-Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), 3D Printing, Drive Technology, Drones, Integrated Assembly Solutions & Automation, Handling Systems, Process Automation & Control System Technology to R&D and many more.

The show day activities shall include an eye-opening Robot Live Demonstration presented by KUKA, OMRON, Ninebots and many industry pioneers. The grand opening ceremony of Robotex 2019 shall be officiated by Dato’ Madani Sahari, representing YB Datuk Darell Leiking, Minister of International Trade & Industry (MITI) on 31 July, 2019 at 10:30am.

“The government believes that the Robotex 2019 showcase will serve as a stepping stone for businesses to embark on new automation strategies to deliver products and services with increased accuracy and cost effectiveness”, explained Dato’ Madani, in his keynote address.

“Businesses must recognize that automation has evolved to become a more affordable tool, even more so with the advent of smart manufacturing in the age of Industry 4.0. The increasing flexibility seen in the design and construction of automation systems today, make them suitable all volume levels, adding the dimension of a higher degree of intelligence and precision to the manufacturing process”, he added.

“I hope that industry stakeholders could fully utilize the information they have captured during their visit to Robotex 2019.  It is such an invaluable source for everyone to get to know the latest trends and pioneers in the robotics and automation sector, and it will much benefit to those who involve in manufacturing as well,” added by Mr. Roger Lim, Managing Director of One International Group.

In addition, there will be a Robotex Conference: Economy of The Future, co-organized by Malaysia Robotics & Automation Society (MyRAS) held during the Robotex 2019. The topics shall cover the Government Facilitation, Soft Loan, Trade Policy, Technology, Additive Manufacturing related to the Robotics & Automation, as well as the government facilitation, outlook and challenges related to Industry 4.0.

Robotex shall be held in conjunction LogisWare 2019, Malaysia International Logistics & Warehousing Solutions Exhibition for a more variety of showcase and choices for visitors.
