September 4, 2020 News

With organisations transitioning towards remote or hybrid work arrangements, new employee experience technologies (EXTech) are fast transforming workplaces, bringing together employee experience and technology to enhance productivity and organisational culture. As part of the company’s continuing innovation to make remote work more productive, rewarding and engaging with technology, SelfDrvn recently announced the integration of Microsoft Teams into its employee engagement platform in line with this evolution.

SelfDrvn is an interactive Service-as-a-Solution platform that uses gamification, social collaboration and data-driven positive psychology to enhance engagement within a company. The platform provides users with data-driven and actionable insights to encourage talent recognition, rewards positive behaviour and achievement with appreciation badges, rewards points, and various levels.

With the integration of Microsoft Teams into the platform, users will be able to use SelfDrvn as the main hub for employees. Users can now leverage Microsoft Teams’ productivity and engagement tools such as video conferencing, audio calls, file sharing and collaboration in addition to SelfDrvn’s innovative features. These are crucial solutions particularly while keeping employees engaged in the face of social isolation as organisations adapt to new ways to build trust with its workforce.

“In today’s uncertain business climate, we understand that forward-thinking companies need innovative ways of working to thrive in the new normal,” said Lam Mun Choong, Founder & CEO of SelfDrvn Enterprise. “To help companies go beyond enabling remote work with tools and technology, SelfDrvn, together with Microsoft, aims to empower collaboration with positive reinforcement and self-accountability.”

“According to the Work Trend Index by Microsoft, the total video calls in Teams grew by over 1,000 percent in March 2020, demonstrating how quickly employees are adapting to new tools to connect, collaborate and be productive. Partners such as SelfDrvn are leveraging Microsoft Teams to create new opportunities and lead digital transformation in their industries and customers,” said Pratima Amonkar, Senior Director and Area Lead Cloud Solution Partners, Microsoft Asia Pacific.

SelfDrvn was founded in 2015 and has since been gaining market traction with regional enterprise clients in professional services, telco, financial services and the retail industry across Malaysia and Southeast Asia. SelfDrvn was recognised as a leader within the Employee Experience Technologies category in the Gartner Hype Cycle for Human Capital Management Technology, 2020 for its track record in improving employee productivity, customer satisfaction and revenue generation, as well as reducing employee turnover.

The latest update which features a Microsoft Teams integration is a strategic move based on the exponential adoption of Microsoft Teams as a preferred communication and collaboration hub.  To help our users navigate the enhanced integrated interface, SelfDrvn platform is also equipped with a digital assistant to help our users with their onboarding process,” added Lam.

“After deploying SelfDrvn across our organisation, we saw a 250 per cent increase in employee productivity and an 800% increase in goal achievement. The science behind what SelfDrvn does is impressive. And they are showing the results to prove it,” said Patrick Lim, Director, Nettium, a global online gaming, e-commerce and talent management solution provider based in Malaysia.

“What really excited us about SelfDrvn was the gamification aspect of the platform which is important in keeping our workforce motivated, engaged and competitive between teams when work is so repetitive, which is a large part of keeping our workforce productive,” said Ba U Shan-Ting, Group CEO of Domino’s Pizza Malaysia, Singapore and Cambodia.

The company aims to make remote work more social, engaging, rewarding and productive with SelfDrvn’s Co-Sell Ready status and full suite of products integrated with Microsoft Teams. With highly customised partnership strategies underway, SelfDrvn is ready to leverage Microsoft’s partner channel and world-class products to increase reach, security, collaboration, and innovation capabilities.
